By GarriHiriyuki Tagawah

Sunday January 26, 2014 -
Kenyans and foreigners operating
in the country have been advised
to be alert as major terrorist
attacks are on the way following
the killing of over 30 Al-Shabaab
militants in Somalia by the Kenya
Defence Forces (KDF).
Foreign missions led by US,
Britain, Australia and Canada have
urged their citizens to avoid high
risk areas following information
received that they could be the
targets of Al-Shabaab terrorists.
They gave a hit list of City Estates,
Airports, Government buildings
and crowded places saying the Al-
Shabaab intends to achieve
maximum casualties.
According to intelligence briefs
these areas include key
Government installations among
them military bases, the Jomo
Kenyatta International Airport
(JKIA) and the symbolic Kencom
Building.
Other areas include the populous
Eastleigh, Kibera, Mathare,
Kasarani, leading hotels and
Government offices.
The alert comes barely a week
after another foiled terror attack
by the Al-Shabaab at the JKIA that
didn’t go as planned.
