RAILA ODINGA’s CORD headed for a nosedive as WETANGULA’s Ford- K now also wants to pull out just as KALONZO’s Wiper

Wednesday January 29, 2014 -
Former Prime Minister, Raila
Odinga’s Coalition for Reforms and
Democracy (CORD) is on the verge
of disintegration and could be
headed for a nosedive.
This is after its key partner Ford
Kenya party of Moses Wetangula
threatened to pull out of the
coalition to strategize for the 2017
Presidential election.
Speaking yesterday, a section of
Ford Kenya leaders from Kisumu
County led by Vice Chairman,
Felix Minda, demanded that
Wetangula dumps Raila’s camp
and go for the Presidency, which
he has already declared publicly,
on his own rather than depend on
Raila because the former PM may
not give him the chance.
They accused the former PM of
being untrustworthy to work with
and that he had duped the party in
the coalition’s agreements.
His sentiments were echoed by
Kisumu East MP, Olago Aluoch,
who said Ford Kenya would push
for a renegotiation with other
CORD members otherwise the
business would not be as usual.
The move comes not long after
Kamba MPs demanded that
former Vice President Kalonzo
Musyoka withdraws from Raila’s
CORD and go it alone in 2017.
Will CORD stick together until
2017?
