I have over 10 new ICC WITNESSES in UHURU KENYATTA’s case - BENSOUDA throws a bombshell

Tuesday February 4, 2014 - The
International Criminal Court (ICC)
Chief Prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda,
on Monday shocked President
Uhuru Kenyatta’s defence, after
she said that she had 10 new
witnesses who are ready to testify
against Kenya’s Head of State.
In an urgent application to the
Trial Chamber V (b) judges,
Bensouda, who is a Gambian
national, said she will request the
judges during the status
conference on Wednesday to allow
her introduce ten new witnesses
in Uhuru’s case.
But an ICC insider who requested
anonymity said Bensouda is trying
to salvage an already lost case,
since all indications are that
Uhuru’s case is dead.
“Bensouda should simply dismiss
this case and move on, these flimsy
excuses and innuendos she is
trying to invoke will never salvage
Uhuru’s ICC case, the case is as
good as dead,” the insider said.
On Wednesday, Uhuru’s case
enters a defining moment during
a crucial hearing where his
lawyers will argue for termination
of his trial.
Uhuru’s physical presence is not
required at the Status Conference
scheduled for Wednesday
morning.
