Kombo gets support from ODM officials

A section of ODM officials in Bungoma county have supported New Ford Kenya’s Musikari Kombo for the senator seat. They include Gideon Chemuku, Fredrick Wabanda (Kanduyi), Cleophas Wayongo (Kabuchai), Benard Wachie (Tongaren), Noah Buluma (Sirisia), Martin Mayeku, Joe Khaemba (Kimilili) and Ben Jipcho (Mt Elgon). In statement read by Khaemba, they said they will remain in ODM but will campaign for Kombo.
They accused Ford Kenya’s party leader Moses Wetang’ula of failing to show clear leadership when he served as the Bungoma Senator. Wetang’ula, Kombo, journalist David Makali (independent candidate) and Wakopli Bifwoli (Labour Party) are running for Senator in the December 19 by-election. Yesterday, the officials accused Wetang’ula of doing very little to campaign for Cord in teh region during the March 4 general election.
“It is common knowledge that Wetang’ula was a very unpopular person in Bungoma before joining Cord to fight ODM from within,” Khaemba said. They were speaking at a press conference held at a Kimilili hotel. Wambanda said their decisionto support Kombo is irriversable. of Kanduyi.
“We campaigned for him but he was busy fighting us,” he said. The officials however insisted that they are not defecting from ODM but will only support Kombo in the mini polls. Kimilili chairman Martin Mayeku blamed Wetang’ula for frustrating ODM candidates in the region during the last elections by fronting Ford-Kenya candidates only.
“We campaigned for him last time but he would de-campaign against the ODM candidates in Bungoma county,” he said.. Jipcho told ODM leader Raila Odinga to “tread carefully with Wetang’ula”.
He said the former Bungoma Senator has always frustrated those who have helped him to ascend to power. “Raila should tread carefully because this man Wetang’ula has never appreciated anybody.”

Teenager Kills Herself After Her Parents Ban Her From Facebook

A teenager who killed herself after her parents banned her from Facebook left a note for a devastated family saying she couldn’t live without the site. Aiswarya Dahiwal, a second year college student from Parbhani, in the Maharashtra state of India, had asked her parents for permission to log on to the site on Wednesday, but they said no. The teenager then got into an argument with the couple who told her that she should pay more attention to school work, and spend less time on Facebook.

The family also argued about Miss Dahiwal making long mobile phone calls to her friends. Her body was found on Thursday morning, and police said that she had hanged herself.  A note found in Miss Dahiwal’s bedroom said that she had taken her own life because she was not allowed to go on the social networking site. Police said that in the note the teenager had said that she couldn’t stay in a home with the restrictions she felt she was being placed under, and that she couldn’t live without Facebook.

Woman Gets Missed Call And 48 Text Messages From Satan!

Colorado mother spent the night scared and ‘praying nothing would happen’ after she got a missed call from ‘Satan’.

Jenn Vest was half asleep while breast-feeding her son when her phone rang from the number 1-666-666-666.

After that call, she received 48 text messages from different numbers, all with only the single word ‘Satan’ in the messages.

‘It really freaked me out because I was half asleep feeding my son and it woke me up.
She said she thought she might have been dreaming at first.

‘Then I stayed up the rest of the night praying and hoping nothing would happen,’ Vest told KUSA TV.
The woman said she tried calling the number back, only to get a recorded message saying the number was no longer in service.

The phone number has been used to prank people in the past, sometimes with threatening messages telling people they were going to die.

‘Yesterday I got a phone call and my mom answered it. It said “Ian Folk (my name) has three days to live”. Of course my mom has been freaking out all day about it. i pushed last call on my phone and it says the number is 666-666-6666. I try to call it but it isn’t a real number. it was pretty creepy,’ says one person on a blog.

Another person wrote: ‘I just got a call from 666-666-6666 (which was creepy enough). An automated voice that sounded like the old Apple text to speech guy stammered sputnik at me for a bit then called me a f**kstick and told me to press 3 to remove myself from the calling list.’

Vest said she did not know how someone had found her number but said she had recently hung up business flyers and thought that it could stem from them.

According to one comment, there is nothing to be scared of and that it is an automated service people can use at the website, www.ospenterprises.com/phone/.

People who want to play a prank of their friends can do it through that website, according to the comment.
However, the said website was not working at the time this story was published.

Mudavadi PUNCHES Raila in the face!

By Garrihirriyuki Tagawah

FORMER Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi yesterday launched a scathing attack on Raila Odinga, his former leader in ODM. Mudavadi accused Raila of playing the politics of deceit and warned that his brand of politics was unacceptable and outdated.
In a quick rejoinder Raila's spokesman Dennis Onyango dismissed Mudavadi's attack as the "kicks of a dying horse". "Mudavadi knows that his end in Luhya politics has come and Wetang'ula's impending landslide victory next month will serve as the last nail in his political coffin," said Onyango.
Mudavadi is fighting to retain his political relevance at a time when the Jubilee government is considering bringing him and Bukusu leader Eugene Wamalwa back into the Cabinet.
In his strongly worded statement yesterday, Mudavadi told Raila that his influence in Western Kenya had diminished."Raila must know by now that the imperial disguise he wears in dividing communities in western Kenya has come to an end. A new dawn and consciousness has emerged out of the March 4 elections. He must check his condescending attitude," Mudavadi said.
Raila and Mudavadi are engaged in an epic battle for the Bungoma senator seat with Mudavadi backing New Ford-Kenya's Musikari Kombo and Raila campaigning for Ford-Kenya leader Moses Wetangula, one of three principals of Cord.
A win for Raila in Bungoma on December 19 will confirm his continuing strength in Luhya land which voted strongly for him in the last election. If Mudavadi vanquishes Wetang'ula, he can assert himself as the king of Western and revamp his political career.
Mudavadi and New Ford-Kenya leader Eugene Wamalwa are hoping that Kombo wins so that they can bargain with TNA for positions in government.  However the URP wing of Jubilee opposes the idea of them joining the Cabinet to appease the Luhyas.
Yesterday Mudavadi accused Raila of lying to the Bungoma residents in the by-election campaign. The seat fell vacant after Kombo successfully petitioned the High Court to nullify Wetangula's election.
Mudavadi said that Raila was using deceitful as he welcomed President Uhuru Kenyatta to Nyanza but told the people of Bungoma not to work with government.
"Is there a Kenyatta government for Raila and a Raila colony for the Bungoma people? One cannot masquerade for ever. The image of infallibility he projects is meant to hide a tumultuous implosion in his party. And the solution is not to panic and divert attention by dwelling on Musalia," Mudavadi said.
Mudavadi also criticised Raila's allegation that his Amani coalition was using the Bungoma by-election to seeks favours with the government.
"Raila is on record lobbying for an appointment as a mediator. Raila should be the last person to condemn cooperation with any government in power. I remind Raila that he is conspicuous in embracing political cooperation deals with successive regimes and therefore has no moral ground to scold others," Mudavadi said.
He said Amani was united and not confused as Raila claimed."Nobody appointed Raila to prefect and to police other political parties on how to conduct their business. I would take Raila’s pantomimes seriously were he to reflect and address the subtle but loud messages his strongholds are sending to him about pragmatic approaches to development versus illusions of greatness and political rhetoric," Mudavadi said.

EXCLUSIVE - PHOTOS of Prophet Owuor Without The Beard in 2005...Preaching in Nakuru Streets (VIDEO)-How it all begun.

Prophet Owuor

By Garrihirriyuki Tagawah
Prophet Dr. Owuor is without a doubt one the most recognized prophets, not only in Kenya but the whole world. The reception he receives anywhere he goes, from Chile to the Dominican Republic says it all. When holding meetings in the country, the security present rivals many political leaders.  He is probably the only private citizen in the country to have police outriders. Not even cabinet secretaries do. During one of his recent visit to Chile, he was honoured at the country's senate.

If you doubt his influence, just remember he summoned all presidential candidates to Uhuru Park, a few days before the March elections.

Some have called him a false prophet, while others fully trust him. Whichever category you fall, you cannot ignore his charisma, fluency and ability to command influence everywhere. You cannot ignore his achievements so far.

His life is shrouded in mystery. Many people wonder where he was all along, and most importantly, whether the Dr. in his name is actual or just honorary.
Prophet Dr. David Edward Owuor is infact a very educated man. He has a PhD in Molecular Genetics.

According to ZoomInfo.com, Dr. Owuor was born in 1966 in Bondo District in Kenya. Having studied in Makerere University, (Uganda);University of Nairobi, (Kenya); Ben Gurion University of the Negev, (Israel), University of Haifa, (Israel), and University of Giessen, Institute for Genetics, he specialized in molecular genetic engineering, examining DNA cloning and nucleotide sequence analysis for medical drug design and discovery.

Upon completion of his Doctorate from Mount Carmel, Haifa, (Israel) Dr, Owuor joined the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center (UIC), Center for Pharmaceutical Biotechnology as a Post Doctoral Fellow specialising in signal transduction by Cancer Chemotherapeutic drugs. During this time, he examined the role of tamoxifen as a chemotherapeutic drug targeting breast cancer and the signalling pathways that are involved. He also lectured to Ph.D graduate students in the Pharmaceutics & Pharmacodynamics and Drug Metabolism by Cancer Chemotherapeutic and Chemopreventive Drugs Programme of the UIC Medical Center.

Dr Owuor was then appointed Research Teaching Specialist in the Division of Surgical Oncology, The Department of Surgery, the Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ)-UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School).  After this he was appointed a Consultant Specialist in cDNA micro array analysis, in Forensic Toxicology and Aircraft Accident of the Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI). At the CAMI, Dr. Owuor published in international medical peer review journals such as Aero Space Medical Research R&D Bulletin, carcinogenesis, Journal for biological Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Research Journal of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, Biochemical Pharmacology, among others.

prophet Owuor preaching in streets of Nakuru in 2005

It was during his time at CAMI, in July 3 2003, that God called Dr. Owuor. The prophet was by then at the peak of his career.  In his own narration, the lord appeared to him and HE physically touched Dr. Owuor's mouth and lifted him up, took him into another room within his house and then left him there, from where he walked back to his bedroom. That was on July 3rd 2003. In October the same year, The Lord appeared to Dr. Owuor again, this time with Prophets Moses and Elijah on one side of the Ark of the New Covenant of The Lord GOD in heaven, while Daniel was on the other side of the Ark of the New Covenant of The Lord GOD.  On April 2, 2004 between 2pm-4pm, in his own narration, The Lord appeared to him and presented John The Baptist on his right hand side and The Holy Spirit spoke to Dr. Owuor by voice instructing him to go warn the four corners of the earth to repent in Christ Jesus and prepare the way for the Second Coming of Christ, The Lamb of God. This was The LORD GOD's commissioning statement to Dr. David Owuor. A statement that turned his life around and put him on the road to preach repentance. Upon returning to Kenya, Dr. Owuor set base in Nakuru. From this 2005 video (watch at the end of the article), we see that Prophet Owuor was not exactly as big as he currently is.  He can be seen preaching to random people in Nakuru streets; some showing very little interest. The same cannot be said of him right now, going by the number of people who turn up at his rallies.  It would be very difficult for him to walk, leave alone preach on any street, without people crowding.

The issue of his current beard will continue to be a mystery. While appearing on Jeff Koinange Live, Dr. Owuor refused to answer a question on the same. He told Jeff that were it another journalist asking that question, he would have immediately walked out of the studio. Here's that 2005 video of the prophet.

Prophet OWUOR: ANOTHER TRAGEDY COMING, I have shared the PROPHETIC INTEL with POLICE, REPENT!

Renowned televangelist and self proclaimed Prophet, Dr. David Owuor, has warned Kenyans again to repent their sins and turn to the Lord because something bad is bound to happen to Kenya again.
In his prophetic words mid this week during an interview with a local TV station, Owuor prophesied that unless people repent their sins another tragedy will strike Kenya once again.
Owuor noted that God revealed to him in a vision that the tragedy will not take long but said prayers and repentance can stop it from happening in Kenya.
Bystanders pay little attention to the then little known Prophet Owuor -2003
Owuor however, declined to delve deep into the details of his prophesy, saying it is a matter of national security and that he had already shared the Intel with the National Intelligence Service (NIS) and the police for necessary precautionary measure.
He warned Kenyans not to ignore the prophetic words from the man of God because his prophesy must surely come to pass just as his previous prophesies unless people purge their sins and return to their creator.

REASONS WHY WOMEN CHEAT-MUST READ!

By GarriHirriyuki Tagawah

Statistics show that more women than ever are cheating on their partners, and I’ve always wondered why. There has always been that group of men desperate for action with anyone, but women have always been so proud and honest and loving, and cheating just doesn’t fit that mould, so it’s growing popularity has always had me foxed.
1. Revenge
A lot of women who cheat are getting revenge on their partners, after being seriously hurt. Affairs can do a lot of damage, but instead of crying with their friends, women are finding a single hot man and showing him exactly how much it hurts to know your partner has cheated on you. Not clever, really, but understandable...there is only so much yelling can achieve, and the hurt is intense. It can easily block rational thought, and even someone who knows two wrongs can’t make a right could be tempted into pay-back.

2. It's boring in the bedroom
Men aren't the only ones who need to spice things up. "Women need to feel desired!". If she is not getting any, enough, or nothing to talk about, women start to feel a sexual void.
3. Feeling neglected
Feeling completely neglected is another common cause of affairs. Women just can’t put up with not having any attention, and if they aren’t getting it at home, they’ll get it from men outside. But one thing can lead to another, and being exposed to flattery which is so rare can make it so much easier for a charming womanizer to talk his way into her bed. Well, I don’t know if it’ll get results, and I’d recommend a talk over a fling any day, but this is understandable too. Don’t stand for being neglected!
4. Jealousy
Have you ever been with a man who is so damn sexy that no woman can help herself near him? Whether it’s a suggestive smile or sending him a drink, he never seems to be able to escape the admiring crowds, and it can make you feel insecure, especially if you are feeling like an average Jane next to him, which is why women with gorgeous husbands boost their confidence by getting another man into bed. It shows they are a head-turner too, and makes them feel much more confident but remember, it could leave your relationship in tatters, and it won’t fix the jealousy issue.

5. Feeling a relationship ending
"When a woman feels that uneasy sense that a relationship is on the outs, by either her doing or his, she will often look to fill the void externally to soften the blow,". "If she is the one considering the breakup, she may be using this tactic as a challenge to herself both testing the waters, and then gauge if she can go through with it."

6. Replacement
A surprising number of women admitted to cheating to find their next partner so they wouldn’t be single when they left their current partner. Shocked? I was! After all, cheating on your partner can’t make you attractive to potential boyfriends, right? Well, it seems to be happening more and more. I can’t really get my head around this one. If you want to leave, go, and if replacing him with a new man fast is important, throw yourself into blind dates, speed dating and nights out. But be honest!

7. Change
Change can cause a women to seek an affair. From the obvious, such as having a baby, to simple things such as moving house, an affair will make her feel sexy and attractive and give her life some substance....until it ends that is. Grab a babysitter, book a night out and make a real effort for your partner. Try a wig and new name. Create the same effect, but involve your Mr. Right, or you could lose him!

8. Warning
Some women cheat as a last warning to their man, particularly if they are refusing to do something, or make a change. It’s almost a childish “If you don’t do what I want, I’ll leave” action, but most of the time, it’s out of desperation rather than spite. Talk to him instead, tell him how you feel, and that you are about to give up. Communication is key for a successful relationship. Evaluate his reaction...if he doesn’t care, leave.

 9. Unhappiness
For men, sex is a vital part of relationships. Women understand this. I mean, some of us find sex vital too but even if we don’t, we know that men need it. So when we aren’t having it, we know something is up. The survey found that women whose sex lives had dwindled felt like their partners didn’t love them anymore, or find them sexually attractive. Cue finding a man who does, and seeking comfort in his arms.

Kim curbs United surge, City crush Spurs

Cardiff City's South Korean midfielder Kim Bo-Kyung (C) heads the ball to score the equalising goal during the English Premier League football match between Cardiff City and Manchester United at Cardiff City Stadium in Cardiff, south Wales on November 24, 2013. The game ended in a 2-2 draw.

South Korean midfielder Kim Bo-kyung's dramatic stoppage-time equaliser earned Cardiff City a 2-2 draw that prevented Manchester United from climbing into the Premier League's top four on Sunday.
United, who had seen Wayne Rooney controversially escape a red card, were on course for the Champions League places until Kim stole in to head home a Peter Whittingham free-kick in the 91st minute.
Surprise 3-2 victors over Manchester City earlier in the season, Cardiff inched three points clear of the bottom three thanks to Kim's goal, while United were left in sixth place, seven points behind leaders Arsenal.
Rooney angrily kicked out at Jordon Mutch in the early stages of the game in Cardiff, but referee Neil Swarbrick only showed him a yellow card and in the 15th minute the England striker put United ahead.
Antonio Valencia's right-wing centre was flicked on by Javier Hernandez to Rooney, who turned inside and let fly with a shot that beat goalkeeper David Marshall via a deflection off Gary Medel.
Cardiff's fans were furious that Rooney had been allowed to stay on the pitch, but they saw their side draw level in the 33rd minute with a beautifully constructed goal.
Medel found Whittingham, who helped the ball on to Mutch, and the recipient of the kick from Rooney released former United striker Fraizer Campbell to beat goalkeeper David de Gea with a first-time finish.
The hosts' joy was short lived, however, as Patrice Evra restored the champions' lead on the stroke of half-time when he headed home from Rooney's left-wing corner.
In response, Campbell saw a feathery chip come back off the bar, but United looked to have escaped until they gave away one free-kick too many and Kim dispatched Whittingham's centre to send the stadium into raptures.
For United, extending their unbeaten run to 10 games provided scant consolation, particularly as Kim's goal prevented them from supplanting Manchester City in the top four.
Manuel Pellegrini's side had reasserted their title credentials earlier in the day by humiliating Tottenham Hotspur 6-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
Beaten 1-0 by Sunderland in their last outing, City took the lead through Jesus Navas after only 14 seconds and did not look back.
The Spanish winger deftly lobbed Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris after the Frenchman had gifted the ball to Sergio Aguero with a loose kick, and an own goal from Sandro in the 34th minute made it 2-0.
Aguero claimed a brace either side of half-time, tucking away centres from Navas and Yaya Toure, to take his tally of goals to 14 in his last 11 City appearances.
Alvaro Negredo added a fifth in the 55th minute, flummoxing Michael Dawson with an audacious turn and lashing a left-foot shot past Lloris, before Navas completed the rout in injury time.
"It is impossible to play better than today. We are working to have one style of playing and to continue in the same way," said City manager Pellegrini.
"We're thinking just about each game. Now we play in the Champions League on Wednesday (against Viktoria Pilsen) and after we see what happens with other teams, how many points they drop, and I'm absolutely sure we will also win matches away."
Victory preserved City's 100 percent home record in the league this season and having annihilated Norwich City 7-0 in their last fixture at the Etihad, they have now scored 13 goals without reply in their last two home games.
Pellegrini's side finished the weekend a point above United in fourth place, while Spurs slipped to ninth.
Andre Villas-Boas's men had only conceded six goals all season prior to their trip to Manchester and although they are only two points below City, they have now gone three games without victory.
"Everything went wrong for us, every opportunity was a goal and we paid a heavy price -- too much for what we deserved," said Villas-Boas.
"City were excellent, and we were extremely poor. We have to be ashamed of ourselves, and react to a defeat like this."

Following closely in the footsteps of Vera Sidika, who revealed that she spent Sh 400,000 on a weave, Kenyan international Dennis Oliech has revealed he also spends some absurd amounts on personal grooming. Speaking to Standard last week, Oliech revealed that he once spent 2 hours in a boutique, unable to decide whether to buy a jacket.  Finally he was able to make up his mind, deciding to buy it anyway... the cost, 4000 Euros.. That's like Sh 460,000. The AC Ajaccio striker then revealed that the shoes he had worn during the interview (pictured above) cost him 1000 euros. That's around 116,000 Kenya shillings. They are original Giuseppe Zanotti boots.

Pupils to wait longer for Jubilee laptops

Education Cabinet Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi. He said he expects the laptops to be in schools during the first three months of 2014. The slight change in the timeline of the laptops project is a result of cancellation of a tender by the government last month over exorbitant quotations by bidders. PHOTO/FILE

Pupils in public primary schools will not have the laptops promised by the government when schools reopen in January.
Education Cabinet Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi said he expects the gadgets to be in schools during the first three months of next year.
“We will do our best to make sure the laptops are given to our children during the first quarter of next year,” he told theNation Monday.
The slight change in the timeline of the laptops project is a result of cancellation of a tender by the government last month over exorbitant quotations by bidders.
The figures were considered outside the budget.
The government announced another tender.
Since procurement processes must be vetted, with winners awarded in the open and resultant complaints addressed, the whole process is likely to take at least 60 days.
This means pupils may not have these gadgets in the first month of 2014.
When he cancelled the initial tender last month, Prof Kaimenyi said retendering would try to ensure there are laptops by January but added that the entire programme could be delayed due to checks and balances required in procurement.
“The government understands the urgency and need to procure the devices to actualise the project by January 2014.
However, the procurement proceedings must ensure economy, efficiency, transparency and accountability,” he told reporters on October 16.
“The ministry is in consultation with the relevant government departments to come up with an appropriate competitive procurement mechanism which will ensure that the aforementioned computing devices are available in January 2014,” he said.
During campaigns ahead of the March 4 elections, the laptops project was part of the Jubilee manifesto.

WHO IS LIKELY TO WIN THE BUNGOMA SENATE BY-ELECTION? CHECK THIS OUT!

By GariHirriyuki Tagawah

From my intelligence, the following may just be on the ballot come the 2013 senatorial by-election in Bungoma
a.       Juma Wa Mukhwana
b.      David Makali
c.       Moses Wetangula
d.      Musikari Kombo
e.       Alfred Khang’ati
The question is, what are the chances of the above being elected senator in the by election?

     Moses Wetangula
He has an 80% chance of retaining the seat due to the following factors
·         He is a seasoned politician
·         He does not shy away from using any means to achieve an end
·         He is a very pragmatic and shrewd politician
·         He has many foot soldiers in the form of County Reps and other boys and girls that directly benefit from him
·         He enjoys support of many elected MPs in Western
·         He enjoys Support of CORD brigade and Raila can not dump him without damaging himself
·    The anti-Jubilee sentiment in Bungoma County is currently even stronger than it was during the general elections
·         He will receive sympathy votes; many feel he is being persecuted
·         He has the resources to share around.

He has a 20% chance of not being senator due to the by election because of the following factors
·         There is a chance that Jubilee uses courts to influence his being on the ballot
·     He has a reputation weakness e.g. He is a shrewd and cunning politician who does not stand with the populace but only furthers individual or selfish interests
·         He is suspected to have been behind recent killings after the general election
·         The Death of Lawyer Wanyama may just be used against him.
  David Makali
He stands an 80% chance of winning the seat if Wetangula is barred and Kombo is supported by Jubilee. He is highly regarded among young Bukusu elites and enjoys the support of CORD. He is Fresh, Young and could be a nice surprise..... (The new kid on the block that everyone would be curious about).
However, should Wetangula be barred and Kombo also steps down for another candidate like Juma Mukhwana, then his chances would be reduced to about 60%. This is because he would enjoy CORD support but then Jubilee leaning Politicians like Governor Lusaka would have someone that they can sell successfully.

  MUSIKARI KOMBO
Musikari Kombo has a 10% chance of being elected Senator in the next by election. These are the factors in his favor.
·         He enjoys the support of Eugine Wamalwa (who still fools  a few with his rhetorical skills)
·         Lusaka the Governor may want to influence against Wetangula due to turf wars
·         If many candidates come in and split votes, Mt. Elgon may be the swing vote in his favour
·         Jubilee may bankroll him and thus he may enjoy state support in manipulating process
·         He may get sympathy votes on the ground that his vote was stolen

Musikari Kombo has a 90% chance of not being our senator after the by-election because of the following factors
·         Many think he is old enough and should retire
·         He lacks charisma and leadership; the reason why FORD Kenya crumbled under him
·         He is seen as a Jubilee stooge
·         The deaths in Bungoma and Killing of Lawyer Wanyama are issues he has to exonerate himself from (we can imbue a motive on him to want to paint Wetangula as the Killer)
·         Many think he is the one who has misled Eugene into making all the political blunders he is perceived to have made.
Juma Mukhwana
If Kombo and Wetangula will be on the ballot, Mukhwana has a 1% chance of being our Senator. The following factors would work in his favour only if Wetangula is barred
·         He would stand a chance as a compromise candidate
·         He is a good hearted and jovial person (very warm and generous)
·         He is a professional and academic of repute
·         He is an entrepreneur and social capitalist that has been widely acknowledged
·         He already has some political experience
·         If Jubilee supported him, he would have a big machinery to ride
·         He was also cozy with Eugene and maybe Eugene would lend him support due to past dealings
All Factors Held Constant, Juma Mukhwana has a 90% chance of not doing well in the by election especially if Wetangula will be on the ballot.
·         He has already soiled his name through his participation in Kanduyi and recently Kabuchai constituency elections (He has that tag of political failure)
·         He ran on a New Vision Party (AMANI) coalition, which does not have much support on the ground
·         He does not have a ground network that Kombo and Wetangula have given they ran for countywide positions in general election
·         He is not a career politician and thus may not put his soul, body and mind into winning the election (he has other interests that make politics just another option and not a life and death issue for him)
·         Other politicians may fear supporting him because of his intellectual and proven social capitalism prowess (if he gets there, he may outshine some)

Alfred Khang’ati
Alfred Khang’ati has a 5% chance of being elected. This is because his brand suffered a major dent when he dealt arrogantly with issues as My MP (Kanduyi). He did not connect with the people and seemed to indicate that they are just a bother. His performance in the gubernatorial campaigns was dismal further denting his credibility as a man who can give a county seat any serious fight.

VERDICT
·         If Wetangula is not barred, he is highly likely to retain his seat
·         Kombo has no chance of being our senator
·         Juma Mukhwana, unless he wants to use the platform for the future, can only be a meaningful candidate if Wetangula is barred
·         David Makali should only try going for the Seat if Wetangula is barred; if not, let him let the by-election pass and start aligning himself with the right wave on which he will ride for a real fighting chance in 2017
·
Alfred Khang’ati and the like of Bifwoli Wakoli should focus on prayers that they get a stab at being member of parliament once again come 2017
