IEBC should bar MOSES WETANGULA from contesting Bungoma seat- He is an ELECTION THIEF!
Monday October 7,2013 - Meru County Women’s Representative, Florence
Kajuju, has asked the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission
(IEBC), not to clear former Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula, for his
engagement in electoral malpractices on March 4th election.
Speaking during the Launch of Miss Tourism Meru County at Slopes Hotel
in Meru on Sunday, Kajuju said the High Court Judge who nullified
Wetangula’s election last week ought to have convicted him for alleged
malpractices.
“To be on the right and uphold the law, the IEBC should not clear him to contest,” Kajuju said.
The High Court last week nullified Wetangula’s election as a Senator citing a bag of electoral malpractices.
Wetangula, who is also one of the CORD luminaries, has maintained that
he is free to vie for the Bungoma Senate seat since he was not convicted
of any electoral malpractices when Bungoma High Court Judge Francis
Gikonyo made a ruling last week.
